Cast Away is a social platform for casting films and TV shows across cinema's full history. Pick any title. Build your version of the cast — pulling from any actor, any era, living or deceased — and share it. Go Limitless and the cast can include public figures or your own family and friends. Vote on other people's casts. Bring your slates into tournaments.
Every film and show on Cast Away has its real canonical cast on record, and beside it a growing library of community slates — alternate casts submitted by users. You can vote on each individual actor-in-role pairing (popcorn up / empty popcorn down), and you can vote on the slate as a whole ensemble (Bravo / Boo with classical theater masks).
It's part creative tribute, part casting director fantasy, part bracket game. Nothing you cast here is official — it's a love letter to the craft of filmmaking, and a conversation waiting to be had.
Every slate honors the actors, directors, cinematographers, editors, sound designers, VFX artists, and entire crews whose work brought the original to life. Slates here are imagination, never criticism — what could be, never what should have been.

Choose a mode
Timeless lets you reimagine the cast across eras — living or deceased, any age, in their prime years from any decade. Current is for casting the next version with living actors who are age-appropriate today. Limitless drops every rule — cast screen actors or public figures on any account, and the people in your own life if you're an Auteur. The mode filter lets you narrow any feed to one mode, or leave it on All.
Assemble your cast
Pick the main roles (and supporting roles if you're going Director's Cut). Each pick shows what the community has voted on that actor-in-role pairing across every slate.
Publish your slate
Once you submit, other users can Bravo or Boo your ensemble and vote on individual picks. Your stats roll up on your profile.
Vote, follow, earn badges
Follow users whose taste you respect — they become your Crew. Find Like Minds (users whose independent picks match yours). Earn Badges as you rack up casts, wins, and streaks.
Enter the Tournament
When a tournament is live, a film goes up for bracket-style voting, with separate Timeless and Current tracks. Make the Round of 8, upset the #1 seed, take the crown.
